Golf
las Americas
The
winds temper as they approach Golf Las Americas, the surrounding hills see to
that. The course lies in a soft
amphitheatre with views towards Playa de las Americas, the main tourist area on
the island, and the sea. This
pleasant addition to the golfing scene in Tenerife is a par 72 course designed
by John Jacobs Golf Associates Ltd.
The course itself
is a good test of golf and very walkable with a returning nine to the Clubhouse.
Water comes into play on some of the holes adding to the scenic beauty of
the course that has an abundance of palm trees and a wide selection of
indigenous flora.
The
attractive clubhouse offers good locker-room facilities and its bar, restaurant
and television room make a luxurious nineteenth.
There are good practice
facilities with a driving range and chipping and putting surfaces and a practice
bunker area. There is a pro-shop
where badged merchandise can be purchased as a souvenir of Golf Las Americas. Golfers can book professional lessons from beginners to low
handicap players. Golf clubs,
trolleys and buggies can also be rented.
