Costa Teguise, Lanzarote
Situated
in the middle of the island, the lushness of the Costa Teguise golf course comes
as quite a surprise in the volcanic surroundings of Lanzarote. Green fairways
fringed by palm trees lead to well manicured greens.
Its overall design by seasoned architect John Harris is reminiscent of
earlier style courses where comfort and plenty of elbowroom went hand in hand
with good testing golf.
The wide landing areas of this eighteen-hole par 72 course are well
compensated with strategic bunker placing around the greens.
A most unusual feature is the black volcanic sand in the bunkers – so
much easier to spot the ball!
Its level terrain makes it a very walkable course with the convenience of
a returning nine.
Looking down the 18th
from the Clubhouse terrace, panoramic views across the island and the Atlantic
are pleasant additions to its general charms and challenge, making Costa Teguise
the perfect holiday course for high and low handicappers.
Other
facilities include a driving range with pitching and putting greens.
Tuition by the club pro is also available for beginner and those lower
handicap players wanting to tighten their game.
Club, trolleys and carts are available for rent.
The Clubhouse provides locker room facilities with a bar-restaurant.
